ROS

As I sit in nature and enjoy God's wonderful creation, once again, I'm reminded that He is the Lord. He created the heavens and the earth, the birds in the air, the stars in the sky, every living creature and being. If this is so, I am confident that he will take me by the hand with goodness and mercy following me all the days of my life. (Isaiah 42, Psalm 23, Revelation 7:9-17).

God, I lay all of my burdens down at your feet and I want to receive from you. I trust in your unfailing love and power knowing that all you have for me is good. May I rely on your strength like Jesus did after he fasted for 40 days, to face temptation eye to eye and declare victory in Your name. Please give me the strength to take action and just do it, not fearing what lies ahead of me, but to stay faithful to your good and perfect will.

Reminders & Lessons learned this week so far:
- Luke 3:1-20. God gives hope through repentence. God uses ordinary people to fulfill his will.
- Luke 3:21-5:16. Jesus was tempted right after fasting for forty days. He endured, knew scripture, and overcame temptation. Right after passing this "test", he dived straight into ministry probably feeling stronger than ever. After ministry, he sets time apart to pray and spend time with his father and reminds others and himself of his purpose on earth.
- Jesus is king and he is the only one that has the priviledge to open the scroll (Revelation)
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come. Wow.

Nicole C. Mullen - Kingdom Come

God, I trust your promise..

“And I remember lying down on the ground in that moment - all of a sudden the room fills with this glorious light. And I turn around to see what’s going on and there is Jesus. And He’s standing in front of me with this big grin and smile on His face.  And it was at that lowest point that He met me.  And He looks at me and He stretches out His hands and He puts them underneath me like this. And in the vision as I see Jesus, He looks at me and says this, ‘Dan, I love you, and I promise to carry you through this time.’ And from that day until this day, I’ve never had those thoughts again.”
“And that’s who Jesus is. He meets us at our lowest, and He can rescue us from the depths of us.  And He wants to give us life in the midst of the pain of life. And He meets us and He loves us and He wants to rescue us no matter what we’re going through.”

The whole article was very touching, but this part was speaking out to me. Though I never experienced anything this guy went through, for some reason, I felt like I'm reading this at the right moment in time.

One prayer request I've been telling others recently: That God would direct my future with big neon signs to so I know which direction to walk in.
